Welcome to rustbucketrally.org.gg, information site and point of contact for Guernsey's own Rust Bucket Banger Rally. Who does this rally benefit?
Those wishing to participate will need both stamina and a good sense of humour. If you're not fit to shake, rattle and roll this rally is not for you. Entrants from Jersey or the United Kingdom are welcome and will be expected to join us in St Malo. Expect long days driving, challenges, fun and camaraderie. This is going to be a demanding route, but we think you'll agree; well worth it for the breathtaking scenery alone.
The rally will start on the 22nd of July 2008 (you will need to be in St. Malo on the 21st for registration). It will last for 4 days, passing through Dijon on the 1st day, Zurich and a night in Innsbruck on the 2nd. The 3rd day of the rally will take you into Venice for the night and the 4th day will finish in Monte Carlo; Just in time for the World Pyrotechnics Championship. Route.
If you're in the rally for the challenge, there will be daily challenges to take part in. This is not a race; however, points will be awarded for each challenge completed. The team with the most points at the end will win the 1st prize of £1,000, with additional prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. All other teams that finish can enjoy the fun at the party at our final destination Monte Carlo against a dazzling vista of pyrotechnics as the championship kicks off.
